Investment Casting Process
Basically, the process includes Investment casting followed by machining to achieve the surface finish and precision drills / other operations with the help of a fixture and vmc to achieve desired quality. The procedure involved in manufacturing this part is described briefly below. There are many technical aspects to be considered during the process but the procedure below is in a high level of abstraction just to give an overview of the process.
Manufacturing die moulds for wax injection.
Multiple wax parts are produced and these are attached to a common runner.
The above parts are dipped multiple times into a ceramic slurry to form a thick shell based on the type of part and material.
The ceramic shell is then heated up to 1000 degrees to take out the wax and to leave a perfect casting mould.
Molten metal with the given specifications is poured into the mould to produce required parts.
These parts are then carefully taken out with a vibrator.
Each part is exposed to XRAY to make sure the quality of the part is perfectly achieved.
After the parts are filtered out it will be deburred with a stone vibration process / an alternative to achieve the polished finish.
CNC VMC / Turning operation will be performed if necessary
